Updates on various areas of my life and a new poem/lyrics.

I changed my Word Press layout and added a new banner. The character was based on Sailor Moon but isn’t really a specific character, just a sailor style anime girl with colors I like.

Mom is doing better, though I’m still concerned because of the nature of her injury and overall medical condition, so I’ll be keeping an eye on her.

I’m holding off on renewing Netflix since the house internet is out and I want to conserve cell internet, as it’s not infinite. At least my signal is good. Looking forward to several series in the coming months. Also looking forward to several video games. I’m still holding off on my PS4 maybe until I see the Christmas offers, though I might be tempted to buy it early, I want to wait a bit before spending, since I don’t like to spend too much all at once. I’ve never been in debt because I make sure to keep a bit of money for emergencies and want to keep doing that.

My blue glasses frames should be delivered soon. Then I’ll have to get the prescription lenses made so it’ll be a while before I can use them, then I’ll be back to having 3 pairs in my colors, blue, pink and silver. I’ll post pics when they’re done.

I told my friends from the Christian group at work that I would write another poem, since it’s been a while. I usually write them as lyrics with a melody, but I don’t know how to write music so you’ll have to use your imagination. This one has a gentle rhythm and calm hopeful theme. The full collection is at Songs of Faith and Songs of Blessing.

Your Blessing Will Come

Your blessing will come,
The answer, will reach,
Restoring the calm,
For all and for each.

Confidence… I have confidence in You.
Confidence, I know that You’ll guide me through.

Tomorrow will come,
Wash away yesterday,
There’s no need to run,
New hope, a new day.

Wash away… wash away,
The sorrows of yesterday,
Wash away… wash away,
The pain of yesterday.

Your blessing will come,
The answer, will reach,
Restoring the calm,
For all and for each.

Through the darkest time,
Brightest star, You shine,
I hold Your hand in mine,
Forever You are kind…

Your blessing will come,
The answer, will reach,
Restoring the calm,
For all and for each.

Confidence… I have confidence in You.
Confidence, I know that You’ll guide me through.

So much to be grateful for,
Even amidst this harsh storm,
Don’t let us go, I implore,
You are with us, I know.

Your blessing will come,
The answer, will reach,
Restoring the calm,
For all and for each.

Your blessing will come,
The answer, will reach,
Restoring the calm,
For all and for each,
Let us sing this psalm,
For grateful peace.

  1. Thanks for sharing the poem. Ever since both my parents were diagnosed with cancer (Mom with breast cancer and is now doing better/on remission, Dad with stage 4 lung cancer and also doing better), they started to become more of worrywarts than before. Not for their lives, but for ours. There were a few times where I would end up sniffing and coughing in the morning because of the weather change and that my window was open and Dad began panicking because his lung cancer started that way too (the endless coughing).

Cyber Monday isn’t far off, so maybe you’d have better deals with the PS4 then. 🙂
